About the Journal

Materia publishes original research, critical reviews, and technical notes across the physical sciences, all branches of engineering, applied mathematics, and the materials that connect them — from nanoscale devices to planetary infrastructure.

History

Founded in 2014 by a consortium of engineering societies and research universities, Materia bridges the traditional boundaries between physics, engineering, and applied mathematics.

Materia accelerates the progress of science and engineering by publishing research of the highest quality without financial barriers.

Published by Echelon Academic Press, an independent academic publisher founded in 2003 and based in Cambridge, UK. Signatory to DORA and member of OASPA.
