Materia publisher becomes DORA signatory

Echelon Academic Press, the publisher of Materia, has signed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). The declaration commits signatories to evaluating research on its own merits rather than on the basis of the journal in which it is published. As part of its DORA implementation, Materia will now display article-level metrics alongside each published paper and will no longer prominently feature the journal impact factor in submission marketing materials.
