Materia launches Reproducibility Initiative

8 September 2025

Beginning with Volume 12 (2026), Materia requires all research articles to include a Data and Code Availability statement specifying where supporting data, analysis scripts, and computational workflows are deposited. Accepted repositories must provide persistent identifiers (DOIs or similar) and guarantee access for at least ten years post-publication. Exceptions require editorial approval. The policy was developed in consultation with the journal's editorial board, author community, and research data librarians.
